Established in 1954, Higher Education Press (HEP) is one of China's earliest professional educational publishers. Specializing in textbooks and resources for higher, vocational, and continuing education, HEP plays a leading role in the country's publishing industry.

Located in Beijing and covering approx. 12 hectares, the HEP Logistics Center was integrated by Vstrong Intelligent Technology. As one of the earliest automated book logistics centers in China, it was also the largest of its kind at the time, setting multiple industry records in scale, storage capacity, technology, and throughput. It is regarded as a milestone in the development of logistics centers for China's publishing industry.

The facility has a total floor area of 55,000 square meters, with a partial two-story design，includes an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS), A and B category picking systems, piece-picking systems, dynamic weighing systems, returns processing systems, pallet conveyor systems, and case conveyor systems and an automatic sorting system. The AS/RS is equipped with 16 stacker cranes, providing 49,088 pallet positions.
